High5 Y'all!!! It's Friday!!!!!

This Friday is particularly amazing because...you guessed it...Camp is OVER! (Editor's Note: I am not excited my students are gone as much as I am excited to catch up on "office stuff." I love my students, but stuff can kinda pile up over two weeks!)  Well the first batch of camps are over. So this Friday we are going to go old school with just a list of the top five moments from my past week...Hope none of you mind!

1. Laughter and Applause

Our Radio Theatre Camp is presenting there performance of "The Wizard of Oz"  this afternoon. The children, our Youth Advisory Board, have all done such an amazing job creating this performance for the ears and imagination. Somehow they have even figured out how to make it a great performance visually as well. This is part of out "Laughter" and "Applause" light boxes for audience cues. They came out really well, but I was particularly fond of the stencil they left behind when we spray painted.

2. Titan

I mean this guy, who wouldn't love this guy! He's been extra cuddly this week which is perfect because, to be honest, I am particularly exhausted.

3. Vacation...ehh Stay-cation!

Vacation starts at 4 pm today. Where am I going you ask? Nowhere. That is right. I am taking vacation to spend some time with the little dude exploring our own city. Stay-cation as they call it. I will be traveling to Washington D.C. the week after next so this is the moment I get to soak up quality time with Treyson before a week long absence.

4. Lake Time

The family headed out to the lake with some friends on Saturday. The Ninja, Treyson, and I all jumped out of a tree. Yeah...a tree. I mean, I'm not an adventurous person when it comes to heights so that was a huge thing for me. Treyson is requesting I announce to the EG readers that he jumped three times and Momma only jumped once. Sue me, I wasn't looking to go through that again. Once was simply enough for me. I knew it would make the ninja happy so I bit the bullet and cowabunga-ed.  By the way, I totally forgot how b-e-a-utiful Spanish Moss was until this weekend. Ah! It took my breath away!

5. Painting Away

I spent the last couple weeks working on a painting for a friends nursery. Her little girl is due within the next few weeks and we are attending her Baby Shower this weekend. Her little ones middle name is "Avett" so I thought we should interject some of The Avett Brothers into her nursery. Finally finished this up last night and I must say I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Are you as ready for the weekend as I am? I mean the Summer excitement is hitting me full force now that I can breath a bit and I can't wait to get out and do something awesome this weekend! Everyone have fun, stay safe, and as always stay exceptionally chic and exquisitely geek!
