Geeky Nursery

The Captain and I still have a while before we know if we're having a boy or a girl, but I can't help looking at nursery ideas! I know A2-D2 is excited about buying nerdy baby things, and it's been nice looking at her Pinterest boards too! Between the blogs of moms begging for alone time and the books that provide a never-ending list of "don'ts," it's been really fun to look at some nerdy nursery accessories.  I decided to share some of my favorites with you!

I've seen a few versions of the nerdy mobile, but I think this one is the best.  These are all ships from Star Wars, but I was thinking we could make one with ships from across fandom: Star Wars, Star Trek, Firefly, etc.

The Captain is a big WWII plane buff.  Though these are WWI planes, if we have a boy, it may be fun to put a few WWII planes above the changing table!
Though I'm not sure I like the idea of naming it Dobby's sock drawer, because it insinuates that it is just lost socks, I do like the small details!

Like A2-D2, I truly enjoy the small nods to fandoms that you can find within someone's home.  This trio of Robots is a great example of ways to mix fandoms!  Since The Captain and I subscribe to multiple fandoms, this may be a great way to make both of us happy!

This should be self explanatory: who doesn't need a Bobba Fett light and clock duo?

Geek-a-bye Baby is a blog and shop for nerdy parents.  Though I will admit that I haven't found anything I need to purchase, I have gotten a lot of ideas about what I can make! You can visit them here.

I will admit that Pinterest has been fueling my addiction to nerdy nursery things, and you should be following Exquisitely Geek on Pinterest!  Regardless of boy or girl, I'm sure there will be some fandom debate between me and The Captain.  I'll be sure to keep you updated; until next time, check out A2-D2's extra blog as she unboxes her loot crate!  We'll see you again on Friday.
