Dallas Comic Con: Guest Overview

Next Weekend (October 17-19, 2014) Dallas Comic Con is presenting Fan Days at the Irving Convention Center.  We know some of our Exquisitely Geek readers are going, as am I, and I wanted to let you know about the awesome guests that are lined up! Don't worry it isn't too late to buy tickets, and with single day tickets starting at $25.00, this is an event that is perfect for every budget!

Lord of the Rings fans can expect to see a LOTR panel at Dallas Comic Con.  Though they have not announced their schedule, officially, they have announced the panel.  Looking at when Sean and Elijah will be appearing, I think it's safe to say that we're looking at a Saturday panel! Photo ops are currently on sale for Elijah and Sean's photos seem to be TBA.

Just in time to celebrate Batman's Birthday, DCC has secured Adam West and Burt Ward for all three days.  Photo ops are a "go" with both of these characters with options for both singular and duo photos (duos are Saturday and Sunday Only).

Doctor Who fan? Don't worry, DCC hasn't forgotten the Whovians.  Alex Kingston and Paul McGann will be appearing over the weekend.  Via the DCC Facebook page , they have announced the Doctor Who panel will be Sunday at Noon! Be there for this rare Alex appearance at a Comic Con.

You can now judge me, but when I was younger, I had a huge crush on Kevin Sorbo.  Mainly because I wanted to be Xena...but that's another blog post.  Both Kevin's photo ops and autographs are currently TBA, but you can check back in at the DCC Website to see any updates.

The Twins are coming!  That's right, the Weasley twins are coming to Dallas Comic Con and will provide a panel, single and duo photo ops,and autograph opportunities.  The pair are priced higher than just one Weasley twin, but who could possibly only want to meet one?!

Are you a Fan of the Indiana Jones films?  Dallas Comic Con has secured two special guests from the franchise for this upcoming event. Both Karen and Ke Huy are providing autograph and photo opportunities.  Regretfully, they are not providing any duo photo ops for the Indiana Jones fans.  The last time I was at a Con and saw a grown up version of a child actor, I was highly surprised - I think I expected them to stay young forever.  It'll be interesting to see what Ke Huy Quan has been up to since his adventures with Indy.

It's been mentioned before that A2-D2 definitely has me beat in the Star Wars Fandom, and DCC has not forgotten these loyal fans either as Ray Park will be appearing at DCC for all three days but his schedule is still fully TBA with autograph and photo prices listed as TBA.  I'm sure his appearance will stir up some debate about the new vs old episodes (is that the right lingo?), but it's nice to see that DCC is trying to include as many fandoms as possible.

You can always check out the comic book guests and CosPlay guests by visiting the DCC Website.  When looking at the line up, it looks like DCC has tried to hit as many fandoms as possible, but it'll be interesting to see which fandoms think their guest is enough to warrant the ticket prices!  DCC has enlisted the help of a new photography team, and they list the schedule of photos on each day which will help TREMENDOUSLY as attendees try to coordinate their panel schedule with their photo ops!  Are you coming to DCC?  Let us know what days you'll be there and who you're CosPlaying so that we can try to find you!
