Mockingjay - Part 1 Tickets go on sale Tomorrow night at Midnight. Excitement anyone!?!

I am a huge distopian novel fan. I fell in love with the genre in high school by reading Orwell's 1984 and Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451: A Novel. My love for the genre was re-ignited when I was handed a copy of Suzanne Collins' The Hunger Games a couple years ago. I'm an all in kind of person. I finished all three books in four days, for reals. Something about that world seems so plausible to me. So realistic. So...inevitable. Ugh, Chills.

I have just finished listening to another distopian novel on Audible so I will be talking about that on my High 5 this week...stay tuned...back to The Hunger Games.

I love this story because of so many things, and we all know that the production has experienced it share of losses and hardships recently with the loss of Philip Seymour Hoffman so we are all rooting for the film to succeed more than ever. I can't wait to buy my tickets to the midnight premier. Plus, I know that this will be my last date night for a while... My parents are relocating to China for a while so I won't have the luxury of my go to babysitters for a bit. How many of you have ever had that problem before? Onto the stills and trailers...

The film was directed by Francis Lawrence based on the screenplay by Peter Craig and Danny Strong. I'm really interested to actually see the illusive District 13 and view Katniss' life there. The film opens on November 21st, but as I mentioned before, tickets go on sale October 29th. Mockingjay - Part 2 will be released in almost exactly one year on November 20th, 2015.

As an aside, I'm sure many of you have already seen the newly released trailer for The Avengers: Age of Ultron Trailer released earlier this week. If not, you can find it here.  As always, stay exceptionally chic & exquisitely geek.
