Mockingjay Review

I posted a couple weeks ago about the premier of Mockingjay - Part 1 and let me say, it did not dissappoint. Here are a few things I noticed:

District 13 is exactly how I imagined. It was as depressing and as void of individualism as you could ever imagine. All of the casting was wonderful and I was deeply saddened seeing Philip Seymour Hoffman throughout the film.

Jennifer Lawrence's voice is amazing!!! I mean amazing!!! I had chills listening to her sing the Hanging Tree Song.

The devastation of the districts is destroying. Reading about them was powerful, seeing the leveling off those parts of Panem was heart wrenching.

There is a portion of the film that should have a seizure warning. It's about a minute and a half long and should definitely be mentioned prior to the beginning of the film, that being said; it is a powerful and important part of the movie and was captured very well.

The end of the film left me shaking...it cuts off exactly where you don't want it to and leaves you yearning for more. Part II can't come quick enough.

I hope that was vague enough for you guys. I didn't want to cause any spoilers, not that the book hasn't been out for a couple years anyway. The film was excellent overall. I would recommend it to anyone and I will probaby see it agan before it leaves theaters. What did you all think? As always, stay exceptionally chic and exquisitely geek!
