High 5 for 2015

Hey hey everyone!  My household is on the final stages of preparing for the arrival of Amelia who has her eviction notice scheduled for Monday, January 12th at 6am.  Though I'm excited to meet her, that 6am was sad to write in my planner.  So, while my house prepares for an expansion to the collective, here's my first High 5 for 2015!

1) Are you an AFOL? (Adult Fan of LEGO) The Captain surely is and has been keeping up with a few recent and soon to be releases that are upcoming to the LEGO line(s).  One that he would not stop talking about was the Slave 1 from Star Wars.  Now, we all know that A2-D2 is the Star Wars fan while I was bought up on Star Trek so please forgive me in advance if I do not fully appreciate the magnitude of this being released.  Suffice it to say, The Captain will be returning for a LEGO blog to review the build of the Slave 1.  Here's a quick preview from our nerdy date to build it!

2) I don't usually ask for specifics during Christmas, but I was hinting for this book like a mad woman.  Anyone that might walk into a bookstore to Christmas shop got this hint.  AND it paid off; I received my copy of Liar, Temptress, Soldier, Spy and have been loving every minute of it!  Need some other recommendations on reading? Try A2-D2's High 5 on books where I got this suggestion from!

3) It's really here: 2015.  I'm always so amazed when one year passes and another creeps up on the sidelines ready for action and adventure. I've been thinking a lot about what 2015 will/may hold for me and it has been quite exciting - I hope it is exciting for you to think about too!

4) Have you seen the "new" coke called Coca-Cola Life?  The Captain has been wanting to try it and my sister loves it so we bought a six pack of it this week. Not to sure if it will be substituting for my Coke cravings, but it would be great as a mixer element in your next bar order!

5) Finally, I want to brag on another great Christmas gift!  Since The Captain and I could not travel home for the holidays due to my doctor's orders, we had family shipping and transporting Christmas gifts to us in all sorts of ways.  My Mother-in-Law and Father-in-Law got me the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Monopoly game.  The Captain and some friends played it this weekend and it was a ton of fun - The Captain won, but there will be a rematch!

I hope your week has been, and will continue to be, exceptionally chic.  Monday, A2-D2 returns with an Art/History blog and then I'll see you again on Wednesday for Cosplay! Until next time...
