Fan Expo Dallas Cosplay

Fan Expo Dallas (previously Dallas Comic Con) has come and gone, and there were some wonderful Cosplays on display.  Let's just pretend there wasn't a rhyme in the first sentence. We've shared some Cosplay photos through Twitter, Facebook, and my personal instagram, but here are some that you didn't see!

Shaun is President of the Whovians of Wichita and was kind enough to share his Jelly Babies

Meet Parker! She was Anna on both Saturday and Sunday, and she was wonderful with every little girl who ran up to her.  She was quick to offer a huge hug and a smile - best "in character" cosplayer in my opinion.

This Star Lord and Gamora were great together.  Gamora gave me the wonderful hint that any body paint set with baby powder should hold up to a full body recolor!

I wish there were photos of the mechanics behind this costume.  He had a rope that attached to his wings, and when he stomped his feet, his wings expanded!

Astrid from How To Train Your Dragon. By the way, How I Met Your Dragon totally needs to happen!

Myself and my Vastra! She's always there to partner with my Cosplay!  This time, she cross-played Mal.  It seems we always become a couple/duo!

Speaking of Duos, this was an unlikely pair that came together - Quailman and a Spock.  Both exceptionally well done in their detail work.

Since attending Fan Expo Dallas, The Captain has agreed to group cosplay at our next event.  I've already started sketching and planning for a Steampunk Alice in Wonderland group.  You'll be able to follow all the progress right here!  Until next time, stay exceptionally chic and exquisitely geek!

Special thank you to Fan Expo Dallas for the press pass coverage of the convention.  All photos were taken with the permission of the subjects.
