Halloween Night In

The childhood nightmare has occurred! It is scheduled to rain on Halloween!!! So, we are preparing for a night in on Halloween, but that doesn't mean it has to be boring. Here are some things we are planning and that may be great for your Halloween celebrations regardless of weather.
It's a tradition to watch Nightmare Before Christmas and now that Netflix is streaming it - bonus! This year, we think it will be a good choice because Amelia enjoys the colors on the screen and doesn't really understand the idea of a scary character. If you'd like to spice the viewing party up, there is a Nightmare Before Christmas drinking game. This one seems quite adventurous since one rule is "Drink when Jack says 'what's this?'". Since he has an entire song with that title, you may want to assign guests numbers rather than drinking for each number. Please drink responsibly if you will be drinking.

Halloween wouldn't be complete without the perfect soundtrack! Last year, I discovered Pandora's Monster Mash station, but Popsugar has created a Halloween Love Songs playlist on Spotify that you can find at the link.
I don't believe I've ever considered Halloween a romantic holiday, but after Amelia goes to bed and mom and dad open the adult beverages, I my change my tune! After Amelia's bedtime, we are going to finish with another movie, but we are still debating between Addams Fmail, Rocky Horror, or Star Wars (because The Captain thinks every holiday is Star Wars appropriate!

I hope you all have a safe and fun Halloween! I can't wait to see A2-D2's costume! Though I do hope she documented the fail of Lichtenstein Girl! Catch up with her on Friday and I'll see you back on Monday!
