Fandom Friday: Films I'm ready for in 2017

It's back! We are partnering with the Female Geek Blogger's Google plus group to bring you 5 Fandom Friday posts.  Each Friday, this wonderful group of bloggers will share a topic and bring you their 5 best nerdy lists. You can check it out by searching the hashtag #5FandomFriday.
For today's topic, here are 5 movies I'm excited for in 2017. Sorry, A2-D2, Star Wars didn't make the list!

If you knew me my Freshman year of high school, you may remember me carrying around a rather hefty Stephen King book.  If you didn't know me then, let's just say it didn't really add to my "cool" factor in high school to be reading such a large scifi book! Stephen King was one of my first true loves as an author.  I read everything of his I could get my hands on and I even studied how he intertwined his worlds.  I still find him to be one of the most intelligent authors I've ever read.  Though many of his stories connect in both large and small ways, The Dark Tower series is pivotal to understanding how his worlds interconnect. I re-read the Dark Tower series like some people re-read Harry Potter.  This series shaped what I think science fiction should look like. They are FINALLY making a movie of the series. It's been in talks for years, but the film is in post-production and scheduled to hit theatres in 2017. It's western mixed with science fiction and I'm both thrilled and scared to see what it will look like on screen.

Emma Watson is my current "if she's in it, I'll watch it" and The Circle is a 2017 film that I'm excited to see her in. When she lands a job at a powerful tech company called The Circle, she gets involved with a mysterious man and learns that her decisions may have much larger consequences than she imagined. Add in John Boyega, Tom Hanks, and Karen Gillen - fandom dream on one screen!! Here's the trailer
I'm a sucker for anything King Arthur. It was my first mythological history. That thing you can't prove is fake, but you're not 100% certain that you truly understand the depths of it. I don't know that I'll ever stop loving King Arthur stories as is evident by my podcast listening list. Here's the action packed trailer released at comic-con.

I must admit that I loved Kingsman and I'm excited about the potential of a sequal.  Secret agents, intelligence, and action film? sign me up!  Here's the trailer to heighten your interest.

I'm an X-Man girl all the way and Logan's slow aging process has always held a special place for me.  The pain he feels - the number of times he's said goodbye.  Here's the final chapter.

What are you watching this year? Don't forget to check out #5FandomFriday and share the love to some of our fellow bloggers!
